The Artisan Awards put the best new products of the fair in the spotlight in 3 categories. They are evaluated by a professional jury and showcased on the exhibition floor, where visitors can also cast their vote for the Audience Choice Award. The winners will be announced after the fair.

Categories

The product must have been launched on the market after 1 October 2024, and no later than 28 September 2025 (i.e., market introduction at the latest during Artisan 2025). The product must be fully finalized (mock-ups of packaging, etc., are not accepted) and must be new in Belgium.

  • Artisan Award Innovation – For the most innovative product at the fair.
  • Artisan Award Sustainability – For the best sustainable solution or development.
  • Artisan Award Audience Choice – Chosen by the visitors themselves.

Practical information

  • Exhibition of participating products & voting: throughout the 4 days of the fair
  • Location: Inspiration Square Deli (Hall 1)
  • Announcement of winners: Wednesday 1 October 2025 in the evening, via Artisan’s online channels
  • Entry fee:
    • €100 (excl. VAT) per product for the first two products
    • €50 (excl. VAT) per product for each additional product
  • Entry deadline: 16 September 2025

Category Innovation

  • Originality and innovative approach:
    What is new or distinctive about the product?

  • Added value for your customer:
    Does your product offer improvements in ease of use, efficiency, performance, or user experience for the target audience?

  • Commercial appeal:
    Does the product provide an advantage for the consumer/end customer (e.g. better end product, enhanced experience, storytelling)?

Category Sustainability

  • Energy and resource efficiency:
    Does the product reduce water or energy consumption in production or use?

  • Impact on food waste:
    Does the product help limit waste or surpluses in the production process?

  • Use of sustainable materials or ingredients:
    Are the materials used durable, reusable, or recyclable?
    Have the raw materials and ingredients been produced in a sustainable way?
    Is there transparency about the origin of materials and production?
    Are there sustainability certificates or quality labels?

  • Lifecycle, lifespan, repairability, and maintenance:
    How long does the product last?
    Is it easy to repair, clean, or maintain?
    How sustainable is the product from production to disposal?
    Has the product been designed for reuse, recycling, or easy repair?

  • Social sustainability:
    Does the product take into account fair working conditions, local production, or societal impact?
